So this is where the "Wannabe" really starts to be noticed. A "true" endurance athlete has all kinds of stuff happen in their lives and still finds time to get the workouts in. I on the other hand have found this week to be un-workout-able. It's been a fun week of exciting things but I did not do a single workout (as of yet).
Monday night one of my best friends had her 2nd little boy (9 lb. 7oz.). Is there a reason I didn't do my workout out earlier in the day before all the baby is coming stuff happened.....uhhhh no. Tuesday was a work day and then see the baby at the hospital and visit with friends. Wednesday...should of been a perfect day to get my workout in, I did go to the hospital again, and helped my friends leave the hospital, got lunch....but there was enough time to get a workout in afterwards (but the weather was icky, and my head hurt), so no workout again. Thursday was a work day, and my 9th wedding anniversary, so a beautiful evening out for dinner was had. Now it's Friday and I again have time to do my workout...but my head is killing me. Allergies, and crazy weather here in North Carolina play havoc on my system. I'm going to rest for a little bit and we'll see if I can at least get one workout in before the weekend.
Tomorrow I will be riding my bike! It's the Gears and Cheers ride from Grove Winery (in Gibbonsville, NC). I signed up for the 62 mile ride, but I think I'm going to back it off to the 40 mile ride. There is a nice lunch and a glass of wine at the end. *happy*. I was told I need to try and keep a fast steady pace for this ride, so that is my goal. Should be fun though as I have a few friends coming out to do this ride!!*smiles* Sunday I have a 6 mile run on tap. Jason already said he'd come run with me, so he'll keep me on task. If nothing else this week I'll have my 2 workouts on the weekend in.
Arrrgggghhhhh! Ohh well, sometimes you just gotta let it go and move on to the next task (or week for me).
